Where mushrooms grow
Nature mushrooms requires the perfect micro-climate to grow, and the “spot” has always been the best kept secret for delicacy mushrooms. Mushroom hunting has been one of the best game designed by nature. To play, you need to have physical stamina, combined knowledge of biology and geology, and a craving for delicious fungus!
My notes captured my hypothesis on how to find such a spot for spring morels. When the snow from the mountain top was melting, when the sunlight hit the surrounding hills and reflected the warmth, in combination of the location of a near by stream or the path of melting snow, and the plants surrounded. You need a GPS, and a elevation map because, we human are too small to get the big picture when we are in the vast wild!
